Hemaya School for Boys Organises Internal Chess Tournament to Develop Strategic Thinking and Positive Competition

As part of Hemaya School for Boys’ commitment to developing students’ cognitive abilities across Cycles 2 and 3, the school organised an internal chess tournament aimed at strengthening strategic thinking, concentration, planning, and decision-making skills. The tournament brought students together in an engaging atmosphere marked by enthusiasm, challenge, and positive competition.

The tournament aimed to develop logical thinking, effective planning, and decision-making skills, while also promoting patience, concentration, sportsmanship, and fair competition among students.

It also provided an opportunity to identify students with talent in chess, develop their abilities, and encourage them to further strengthen their skills through an intellectual activity that combines learning, challenge, and competition.

The initiative forms part of Hemaya School for Boys’ ongoing efforts to diversify meaningful student activities and develop students’ cognitive and creative abilities, contributing to their personal development and strengthening their intellectual and social skills.

The tournament was supervised by Physical and Health Education teachers Mr Mohammed Farouk and Mr Shaaban Mahmoud.
