Hemaya Boys School Celebrates International Workers’ Day with Appreciation and Community Participation

In celebration of International Workers’ Day, observed annually on May 1st, Hemaya Boys School organized a variety of meaningful activities on Thursday, May 1, 2025, as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for the essential role workers play in building society and supporting sustainable development.

Field Visits to Work and Production Sites

As part of the celebration, the school arranged field visits for a group of students to several key work and production locations, giving them the opportunity to witness firsthand the dedication of workers across various sectors. The visits included the following sites:

• General Directorate of Traffic

• Deira Main Post Office

• Dubai Public Library

• Al Mamzar Beach Workers

• Al Mamzar Park Workers

• ADNOC Station

During the visits, students expressed their appreciation and admiration for the commitment and hard work they observed. In turn, the workers were pleased by this thoughtful gesture. At the conclusion of the tour, certificates of appreciation were presented to representatives from the General Directorate of Traffic in recognition of their support in accompanying the students and ensuring the success of the event.

School Workers Appreciation & Communal Breakfast

In a heartfelt internal initiative, the school organized a communal breakfast for its own workers within the school premises. Symbolic gifts were presented as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the campus — which directly enhances students’ well-being and the quality of the learning environment.

Musical and Awareness Participation at Al Ahliya Private School

Hemaya Boys School also participated in a special event organized in collaboration with the Human Rights Department's Ambassadors of Safety Council and the Spirit and Positivity Council, held at Al Ahliya Private School – Boys Branch in Dubai. The school's musical band and Ambassadors of Safety took part in this initiative, which aimed to promote children’s rights and raise awareness about Wadeema’s Law, while highlighting the school’s own efforts and initiatives in conjunction with Workers’ Day.

The musical band delivered an engaging performance that enriched the event, earning enthusiastic responses from the audience and reflecting the school’s commitment to cultivating social responsibility and a strong sense of community among its students.

Through these diverse initiatives, Hemaya Boys School reinforces its commitment to instilling values of respect and appreciation for workers, while nurturing a sense of national and humanitarian responsibility in students through educational and community-based activities that blend learning with active social engagement.
