Hemaya Schools Students Visit the Arabian Travel Market to Enhance Tourism and Digital Awareness

As part of the Dubai Police Hemaya Schools Office’s commitment to enhancing students’ knowledge and awareness and developing their skills across various fields, a visit was organized to the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, one of the region’s leading events specializing in the travel and tourism sector.

The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to explore different experiences and cultures, learn about the latest services and initiatives, and enhance their awareness of digital safety and cybersecurity.

The Dubai Police platform was a key part of the visit, where students were introduced to a range of electronic services offered by Dubai Police, particularly services and initiatives related to combating online fraud.

The students also attended an awareness workshop presented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation, which addressed common methods of online fraud, ways to prevent them, the importance of using technology and digital services safely and responsibly, and the key cyber risks and how to avoid them.

The workshop contributed to raising students’ awareness and strengthening their digital literacy, enabling them to better understand online fraud methods and respond to them more safely. It also encouraged them to apply and share this knowledge in their daily lives, with their families, and within their school community.

The visit also included tours of several participating pavilions, including the Jordanian and Kuwaiti pavilions, where students learned about the distinctive cultures, heritage, landmarks, and tourist destinations of each country. This helped broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of cultural and tourism diversity.

At the conclusion of the visit, participants were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their attendance and participation in the workshops and accompanying activities.
