Hemaya School for Boys Welcomes Grade 1 Students and Their Parents for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Hemaya School for Boys organised a welcoming programme for Grade 1 students and their parents to mark the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year, in the presence of Colonel Dr Saud Al Rumaithi, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, and Colonel Abdullah Salem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Hemaya Schools Office.

The programme aimed to prepare students for the start of their school journey, introduce them to the school environment in a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, and strengthen communication and partnership with parents.

The reception began at 6:30 a.m., with the school team welcoming students and their parents, escorting them to the event hall, and organising their seating. The venue featured a presentation screen, welcoming decorations, a photo frame, and a gift box. Students also took part in accompanying activities, including face painting and the “Colours Without Borders” activity corner.

The official programme began at 8:00 a.m. with the UAE National Anthem, followed by a welcoming address and a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Abdullah Hassan Abdullah.

The programme featured a range of interactive and physical activities designed to encourage participation and enjoyment, including the “Aim and Win” sticky-ball target game, the “Fun Steps” balance and coordination mat race, the “Ball Rain” sticky-ball shirt game, the “Champions’ Jump” coloured sack race, and a tug-of-war activity. The programme concluded with closing remarks.

The variety of welcoming, creative, and physical activities helped students become familiar with the school environment and fostered a sense of comfort and belonging from the outset, while also allowing them to share the experience with their parents in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
