Student Visit to Dubai Police Cybercrime Exhibition Promotes Digital Safety Awareness

As part of efforts to enhance digital awareness and promote the safe and responsible use of technology, female students visited the Dubai Police General Department of Criminal Investigation’s Cybercrime Exhibition at Dubai Mall, where they took part in an educational and awareness-focused experience covering key risks and threats in the digital world.

During the visit, the students learned about deepfake technology, its different forms and potential risks, as well as methods for verifying digital content and distinguishing authentic material from manipulated or misleading content.

They were also introduced to key guidelines for protecting personal devices and accounts from hacking and online fraud, maintaining digital privacy, and exercising caution when dealing with suspicious links and messages.

The visit contributed to strengthening students’ awareness of cybersecurity and responsible digital citizenship while equipping them with knowledge and practical skills to use modern technologies safely and respond more effectively to digital risks.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to raise digital awareness among students and promote safe and responsible behaviour when using technology and digital platforms.
